LJCDS Breaks Ground on The Hub For Human Impact

La Jolla Country Day School (LJCDS) recently celebrated the groundbreaking of their newest academic and institutional initiative, The Hub for Human Impact. This three-story, 20,000-square-foot addition to the heart of the campus was inaugurated with a beautiful ceremony attended by students, teachers, and the local community.

LJCDS, which serves young scholars from age 3 to Grade 12, is dedicated to preparing individuals for a lifetime of intellectual exploration, personal growth, and social responsibility.

Dempsey Construction has been selected as the general contractor for the project. Dempsey Construction, the preferred general contractor for LJCDS, has a history of successfully completing multiple large projects for the school. All projects are executed with accelerated schedules while the school remains open and operational. To meet the compressed project timeline, with non-negotiable start and completion dates, the Dempsey team has assembled a superior team to work with LJCDS and ensure timely completion.

The human-centered learning commons will benefit students of all ages by fostering innovation, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. Construction is expected to span from Spring 2025 to Fall 2026.
