Tyler joined Dempsey Construction in 2022 as an Assistant Preconstruction Manager/Estimator. He attended Pepperdine University and went on to gain experience in both property management and specialty subcontracting before moving into his current role. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and dog, and loves traveling, hiking, paddleboarding, and golfing.
Tyler is a recent Point Loma Nazarene University graduate who discovered his passion for construction management after earning a degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. Through internships with Align Builders and Construction Resources, Inc., along with five years of hands-on experience at Vannix Custom Cabinets and Countertops, he has built a strong foundation in both project management and field operations. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys woodworking, pickleball, cheering on the Dodgers and Chargers, and spending time with his two Golden Retrievers, Zeus and Yogi.
As Sr. Director of Market Development, Wendy supports the business development and marketing efforts of the Dempsey team. Prior to joining the Dempsey team, she spent 16+ years in the commercial real estate industry overseeing business development, sales and marketing initiatives. Wendy is a firm believer in striving for a 100% do/say ratio; Do what you say you will do and you will never disappoint. Originally from the East Coast, Wendy graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and now resides in Encinitas, CA with her 2 teenage boys and 2 kitties. In her free time, she enjoys golf, concerts, family ski trips and planning the next “bucket list” trip with friends.
As a Project Executive, Wes oversees the planning and execution of complex construction projects from early preconstruction through final delivery. His role focuses on aligning owners, design teams, and construction partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Wes works closely with internal teams and stakeholders to guide project strategy, manage risk, and drive performance across multiple projects. This includes leading preconstruction efforts, establishing project budgets and GMPs, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring teams have the tools and resources needed to succeed in the field. His experience includes commercial, retail, education, and multifamily developments throughout Southern California. He is passionate about building strong teams, fostering transparent communication, and delivering high-quality projects that create lasting value for clients and communities. Wes graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Regional Development and has been with Dempsey Construction since 2014. In his spare time, Wes enjoys playing golf, constructing complicated Lego sets with his son, and spending time with his family.
Wyatt joins Dempsey as a Project Engineer after earning his degree from San Diego State University. He brings experience in solar, tenant improvement, and life science projects and will be working alongside Ben Murken on our Fletcher Jones projects. Outside of work, Wyatt enjoys surfing, traveling, trying new restaurants, and watching sports.
Zach joined Dempsey Construction in 2026 as an Estimator. He holds a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Arizona. Prior to joining Dempsey, Zach worked as an estimator for a San Diego - based general contractor, where he focused primarily on multifamily and tenant improvement projects. Outside of work, Zach enjoys playing golf and men’s softball, spending time outdoors, and reading about economics, banking, and history.
