Team Dempsey

Ryne Ahearn is a Dempsey Construction superintendent with over 16 years of experience in the construction industry. He started his career as a foreman/laborer and has diligently worked up to his current position. Ryne is directly responsible for overall job site supervision of craft foremen and their crews; estimating, ordering, and controlling material and equipment; job scheduling; coordinating the budget and maintaining labor cost controls; coordination with city/county agencies; and overall coordination and scheduling of all subcontractors. Ryne adds significant value to every job as he brings proven experience across a diverse cross-section of the building industry. He has worked on a wide variety of projects in his career, ranging from life science/biotech lab environments to medical environments, schools, churches, general commercial ground-ups, and tenant improvements. In his spare time, Ryne enjoys sports, golfing, DIY projects at home, and everything outdoors

Sandra Myers joined Dempsey Construction in 2021 to oversee accounts payable. Originally from Mozambique, Sandra has lived all over the United States, including Florida, Hawaii, and Virgina and speaks several languages. In her free time, Sandra enjoys weightlifting, spending time with her husband and their 2 kids, hiking, and travelling.

Sarah Wuthrich joined Dempsey Construction in 2025 as an Operations Support Specialist. Originally from Palm Springs, Sarah spent most of her childhood in Encinitas, California. She earned a soccer scholarship to Concordia University in Nebraska, where she completed her degree in Business. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, staying active, and embracing the outdoors.

After interning for 3 summers, Scott Geier officially joined Dempsey Construction as a Project Engineer in 2023. A native of San Diego, Scott graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a degree in Construction Management. In his spare time, Scott enjoys hiking, mountain biking, spending time at the beach, and restoring vintage cars.

Steve brings over 20 years of construction experience spanning healthcare, hospitality, retail, lab and medical, and offices. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong reputation for delivering complex projects with precision and leadership. One of his most notable roles was serving as the MEP Superintendent for the Jamul Casino project, a highly technical build that required the construction of an eight‑level underground parking structure built into a hillside while the casino was simultaneously erected above. His ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage challenging site conditions played a critical role in the project’s success.

Tom Saddler, a Senior Superintendent, has been in construction for over 30 years. Tom began his career at a large general contractor where he was initially hired as a laborer and progressed rapidly to carpenter foreman and then superintendent, attributing to his extensive construction expertise, attention to detail, and supervisory skills. As a Senior Superintendent, Tom has direct responsibility for overall job site supervision of craft foremen and their crews, estimating, ordering, and controlling material and equipment, job scheduling, developing overall schedules, and logistics planning. Tom has been responsible for many projects, including corporate headquarters office buildings, industrial parks, business parks, large tilt-up buildings, retail shopping centers, hotels, and multi-family housing.

Tyler joined Dempsey Construction in 2022 as an Assistant Preconstruction Manager/Estimator. He attended Pepperdine University and went on to gain experience in both property management and specialty subcontracting before moving into his current role. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and dog, and loves traveling, hiking, paddleboarding, and golfing.

As Sr. Director of Market Development, Wendy supports the business development and marketing efforts of the Dempsey team. Prior to joining the Dempsey team, she spent 16+ years in the commercial real estate industry overseeing business development, sales and marketing initiatives. Wendy is a firm believer in striving for a 100% do/say ratio; Do what you say you will do and you will never disappoint. Originally from the East Coast, Wendy graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and now resides in Encinitas, CA with her 2 teenage boys and 2 kitties. In her free time, she enjoys golf, concerts, family ski trips and planning the next “bucket list” trip with friends.

As a Project Executive, Wes oversees the planning and execution of complex construction projects from early preconstruction through final delivery. His role focuses on aligning owners, design teams, and construction partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Wes works closely with internal teams and stakeholders to guide project strategy, manage risk, and drive performance across multiple projects. This includes leading preconstruction efforts, establishing project budgets and GMPs, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring teams have the tools and resources needed to succeed in the field. His experience includes commercial, retail, education, and multifamily developments throughout Southern California. He is passionate about building strong teams, fostering transparent communication, and delivering high-quality projects that create lasting value for clients and communities. Wes graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Regional Development and has been with Dempsey Construction since 2014. In his spare time, Wes enjoys playing golf, constructing complicated Lego sets with his son, and spending time with his family.
