Scripps Cancer Support Services

Complete interior and exterior renovation of locally recognized historical building originally built in 1926 to support Scripps Hospitals’ growing need for nurses. Work on this San Diego Landmark took place in two phases:

• Phase 1 focused on the restoration of the exterior façade, bringing a new enhanced look to existing finishes while staying true to the original character of the building
• Restoration of double hung wood windows, wood doors, ornamental precast concrete panels, installation of authentic clay roof tiles, structural retrofit of existing roof framing, plaster of deteriorated areas and painting of the entire building exterior
• Phase 2 required a complete buildout of the interior: new MEP systems and finishing of all new and existing finishes, serving the building appropriately for its new intended use as office space for Scripps administrative staff
• The building now provides extensive cancer support services to patients and their family members
