Each summer, our internship program gives Construction Management students the opportunity to gain real-world experience, build lasting connections, and learn from industry leaders.
Meet the Summer Intern Class of 2026! We asked each intern a few fun questions so you can get to know the faces behind this year’s program. Check out their answers below and learn more about the future of the construction industry.
Ethan Vincent
What’s a skill you’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t yet?
A skill I’ve been wanting to work on and master is playing instruments. I play the guitar from time to time, but I would like to be able to play any song with ease.
If you could swap lives with someone for 24 hours, who would it be?
I would swap lives with Steve Irwin in his prime.
If you were a construction tool for a day, what would you be and why?
I would be a chainsaw so I could just tear some stuff up. I would chop a tree or two down while I’m at it.
What’s your go-to hype song or artist when you need motivation?
My go to hype song is Clarity by Zedd.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A meal that I never get tired of is Japanese Curry.
Jaden Zorensky
What’s a skill you’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t yet?
A skill I’ve always wanted to learn well but haven’t yet is film photography.
If you could swap lives with someone for 24 hours, who would it be?
If I could swap lives with someone for 24 hours it would be Jack Johnson. I’d love to perform his songs live and surf at the level that he does in any given day.
If you were a construction tool for a day, what would you be and why?
If I were a construction tool for a day, I’d be a drone. It would be cool to fly.
What’s your go-to hype song or artist when you need motivation?
My go to hype song is My Hero by Foo Fighters.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If I could only eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be steak, sweet potatoes, avocado, and broccoli.

What’s a skill you’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t yet?
I’ve been wanting to learn to sew, especially how to hem but it’s something I haven’t gotten around to doing yet.
If you could instantly become an expert in anything, what would it be?
Definitely an expert in language, learning everything about every language would take lifetimes so being able to do so all at once would be quite beneficial.
If you were a construction tool for a day, what would you be and why?
It’s got to be a screwdriver; you couldn’t get anything done without one.
What’s your go-to hype song or artist when you need motivation?
I don’t think I can just pick a singular song but, Pz’ has been on my radar for the last few months.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It’s nothing fancy but ground beef, cottage cheese, and a sweet potato with some honey can’t beat.

Nail gun, just because I think they’re cool

I would choose to be a level because I like to be exact in my results and it is necessary for quality builds.

Dempsey Summer Internship Program
Dempsey interns gain hands-on, real-world experience through a blend of project-based administrative work and field-focused learning opportunities. Through a Realistic Job Preview (RJP), interns are exposed to the day-to-day responsibilities of roles such as Estimator, Project Engineer, and Foreman.
Throughout the program, interns split their time between the office and job sites, working closely with Dempsey Construction team members in these positions to gain a well-rounded understanding of each role and how they contribute to project success.
